Here's my contribution to the contemporary architectural form. My house satisfies not only the allotment garden house but travels in the style of floating casinos, with the pageantry of ancient processions.
An amalgam of the small house, a daimyo procession and the British Raj. The mixed metaphors give rise to an interior of two levels (with separate entrances) alternating as:
1. a kitchen/dining room (house)
2. a private casino/ upper gallery & bar (palanquin)
Light wood construction provides for easy transportation. The structure, raised on piles, allow better humidity and circulation when stationary.
A summer evening somewhere between town and country, after dressing formally upstairs, the host entertains a party of four at a cocktail dinner and then some private gambling, with a gallery of visitors betting upstairs and a full bar serving both rooms. Afterwards the guests depart and the rooms revert back to the host's abode as the palanquin returns to the garden.
