Al Mac's Diner, Fall River, Mass.
Al Mac's has a beautiful exterior, and the neon sign is gorgeous. The interior has been renovated, however, and has really cheesy booths and a garish green counter. I stopped here for dessert after eating dinner at the Shawmut Diner in nearby New Bedford, and the difference is striking: the original interior of the Shawmut is so much nicer. But I still enjoyed stopping at Al Mac's.
