Speaking of tourism - tourist routes could Zdar and especially its peak, of course, ignored. The first signs of which were started during the early 20th Century (1908). After these paths to walk with the necessary modifications, to this day, that is already about 100 years. In 1 half of the 20th century as the golden era of hiking Zdar gradually formed on three tourist huts, which, however, to this day not one survived. Come into their own as athletes addicted to adrenaline, because the "Lookout Mountain" and close "altar" (local names of different parts of rocky terraces) is set out dozens of climbing routes, officially open to members of the Czech Mountaineering Association.
Also from the perspective of science is near the top of Zdar important habitat. The entire area falls within the natural park Trhoň, named after one of the distinctive ring of hills surrounding the village of Bree. Park area is 4093.4 hectares and was established by decree ONV Rokycany in 1979.
Even much earlier, however, there was nature reserve around the peak itself Zdar. Already published April 13, 1953 "Ministry of Education and Public Awareness" as was his full name, return lishing a nature reserve in the village of Pavlov acreage with 20.48 ha. In retrospect it is interesting that this decade-old decree actually does not cause protection, yet in just a few points exhaustively enumerates the prohibitions and requirements associated with the management and movement on the reservation. In addition to acidophilic beech stands (mentioned in the rationale of protection) and oak winter here we find a cultural spruce stands (with possible remnants of natural spruce forests in the surrounding rocks), a crane or a protected yew, which is not artificially introduced, ie, its presence is the work of planting.
Zdar Trhoň and generally do not belong to the military governor of this area, but an almost military equipment can be found here. When the road leading from Borek near Rokycany in the direction of Pavlov is shooting police, locally dubbed (by special forces) "URNA". The area enclosed by high walls are visible from atop Lookout Mountain Zdar. Notable is the age range - as the army was still under Austro-Hungarian Empire, in the late 19th and 20 century.
