Big Smokey Falls
Indigenous people from Wisconsin, and throughout the world, believed that the rivers were "life" - that they were sacred. They provided sustenance (fish), drink and transport, among other vital necessities. Big Smokey Falls on the Wolf is located on tribal lands in Menominee County, Wisconsin, near Keshena. Although not especially high as waterfalls go, it is powerful and beautiful. It's easy to access and fall is a good time to visit if you'd like to see it without many tourists around. These special places should be protected for future generations to enjoy.
