Firey Potatoes

This was inspired from a recipe for french fries from this book.

 

3 tsp unsalted butter, divided

Diced potatoes, frozen

1/4 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp hot sauce

 

Cook the potatoes in about 1 1/2 tsp of butter until crispy. Stir a couple of times. When done, add the salt and remove from heat.

 

Microwave the remaining butter (1.5 tsp) along with the garlic powder and hot sauce until the butter is melted. Stir the butter mixture then add to the potatoes. Stir to coat the poatatoes.

 

This was very tasty. Adjust the amount of hot sauce as desired. With 1 tsp this was midly spicy.
