Reforestation

Another deer fence on the hike, this one off a side trail. There wasn't enough daylight to walk this trail and see where it went.

 

Without deer fences, the deer would actually be a major factor in keeping the forests from growing quality trees again.

 

The only reason Pennsylvania's forests were able to grow back to what they are now is because the deer in PA were pretty much gone by the time the lumbering was done.
