Despite the huge influx of Beachballs, and the apparent withdrawal of the Excels and imminent withdrawal of the Darts, Barbie can still be seen on the B10Bs, B9s, B7s and the sprinkling of hangers on. And leaning into the corner, and slightly on the wrong side of the road! is Volvo B10 21179 R651 CVR just entering Darlington Street on the outskirts of Wigan. Note the unusual offside positioning of the Direction Sign. The row of terraces on the left are lucky to still be with us....many moons ago, the road in front of them was excavated for its length to allow new services to be installed. The excavations disturbed the foundations of the terraces and a huge crack a couple of inches deep appeared in the brickwork where the bottom few courses had followed the foundations. Must have been a fair repair bill.
