FIRST 40067 15 SEPT 03 450

This was carrying a full standing load on a morning rush-hour 36 to Manchester. On the one way system leading up to Irlams oth Height roundabout, where the bus would be in the offside lane ready for the right turn, an old driver in the nearside lane who thought he was in a two-way street suddenly turned right across the path of the bus intending to take the sliproad which would take him onto the opposite carriageway. The impact was so great that the handrail at the buggy bay, its about 10 feet tall, was considerably bent and pulled right out of the ceiling track by a stander grabbing it to hold on to, and I was told that another lady passenger was thrown into the dash and lost her front teeth. Hmmmmmmm. Love the little house and embellishments!
