Tithwal- Indian security on the left bank of the Kishenganga waching divided people maintain contact
In the distance is the Tithawal Bridge over the Kishenganga/Neelam river that separates Indian and Pakistani Kashmir here. Half of the bvridge is in India and the right half in Pakistan.
A sad plight that was sadder still till four years ago. From that time on people from either side could cross over to meet each other provided they went thorugh a long drawn bureaucratic process.
These people are Paharis and Gujars and not Valley Kashmiris.
And a soldier keeps a watchful eye just in case a greande is not lobbed!
