IMG_0271x 636 Wirksworth

Former Blackpool Brush Car No 636 has turned up at Wirksworth for further tests by its owners SET (Stored Energy Technology) who have converted it to run on batteries aswell as fitting it with a wheel-motor concept bogie.....other than that it still makes a familiar sight in its Metro Coastlines route 14 livery as it stands in the Ravenstor incline platform at Wirksworth on 3rd Feb 19......at the ripe old age of 82 years....it does kinda seem a shame to be pimping up such a heritage vehicle although SET have now owned it since 2006 so have ensured its survival in a relatively complete external shape...….no seats in it though so no chance of taking a ride up to Ravenstor …!
