Predator & Prey
I'm always interested by prey and predator interactions. There were 2 male lions lying down and the springbok came to within about 10 metres of them and carry on grazing - obviously they know by the time either of those lions get up they'll be about a km away! It's a total contrast to seeing them interact with the african wild dogs - any sign of interest from the dogs and the springbok are pronking far away from them - I suppose with good reason - on this same day in the evening we saw wild dogs chase down a sprinbok and catch it - they're amazingly fast animals (of course Murphy's law - it was just too dark to take photos!)
