Rice terrace
Another "what's Vietnam without" in this case, the iconic rice terraces. Unfortunately it wasn't harvest time for the rice, as they depending on the region, they were just starting to plant the rice.
This was taken in the valley beside the Topas Eco Lodge, 17km from SaPa. We hiked around the entire valley for some breathtaking views and visited some local minorities homes. More on that later. You can actually see some of the people on our hike. The two guys in blue were our porters, carrying our water and food.
