A-Z Challenge: X, Y, and Z

photos are not my photos. please see bottom for web links

I am happy (and sad!) to announce the final round of the A-Z Doll Photography Challenge . We have finally arrived at the final three letters of the alphabet, and this final announcement is bittersweet for me. I am honored to have been the co-host of this incredible challenge group along side the remarkable and extremely talented Leslie (Bogostick). Her ideas and creativity are something to be admired. Thank you, Leslie, for working with me throughout this challenge. This collabortation has been very rewarding, and I am forever grateful for that. I also want to thank each and every A-Z participant for making this group a success. Whether you submitted photos or only voted, you have contributed to making this group so enjoyable and inspiring. I hope you have had as much fun being a part of this group as I have. Thank you for inspiring me.

Submit just one photo per theme. Since December may be a hectic month for many of us due to the upcoming holidays, the last day to submit a photo to the group is January 7th!

Read below for information about each theme. You can also visit the following discussion post: www.flickr.com/groups/2962397@N20/discuss/72157675688672032/

X - XOXO:

All you need is love! This theme is all about hugs and kisses. You can approach this theme however you like. The only requirement is that there must be at least one doll giving/receiving a hug or kiss in your photo.

Y - Yarn:

A simple idea with many possibilities! For this challenge, include yarn somewhere in your photo. You could use fashion (a sweater, a scarf), feature it in a diorama (room decorations, a blanket on the couch), or show your doll shopping at a craft store or him/her knitting a project. You could even weave the yarn into your doll’s hair for an editorial portrait. Get creative!

Z - Ziegfeld Girls:

Ziegfeld Girls were beautiful chorus girls starring on Broadway in the theatrical productions known as the Ziegfeld Follies (1907-1931). These showgirls were the epitome of elegance and glamour as they sang and danced, all while adorned in elaborate costumes. For this theme, you may depict your doll(s) as either a vintage or modern day showgirl: Perhaps she is one of the famed Las Vegas showgirls of the 1950s or is a star at Paris' Folies Bergere. You can show her performing in a chorus line, getting dressed backstage, or simply posing for a photoshoot. Think feathers, sequins, flirty skirts or elaborate headpieces!

Make sure to title your photos with the theme you are representing. (example: A-Z challenge: A - alphabet)

X - XOXO

Y - Yarn

Z - Ziegfeld Girls
