Day One
During my spring break in 2013, made my first ever trip up to the CSX River Sub around Iona Island. Immediately, I was drawn in to the beauty of the area and the plethora of vantage points at photographing the trains, both on the CSX and on the MetroNorth running the opposite side of the river.
This day was not only a first for me in this area, but it was also the first day of the newly elected Pope Francis as the earthly leader of the Roman Catholic Church, a leader who promoted compassionate love, mercy, and forgiveness, even to those whom many cast aside.
Today, as we mourn the loss of Pope Francis, we remember his work, we mourn his lose, and we pray for the Cardinals as they discern his successor.
