Ebb and Flow of springtime

The pond is struggling to come back to life. The days are warmer now and so each day the ice retreats a bit. But then night comes with it's cold temperatures and back comes a thin layer of ice. Yesterday I spotted little polliwogs moving about along the edges, which I thought was pretty cool.
