A shot of the Wishing Well in Luray Caverns. If you look closely you can see money in the bottom of the water. Once a year they go in and shovel out two or three feet of coins which is then donated to various health, environmental and educational organizations. This pool is the deepest in the caverns at about 6 feet. I see paper money in there and I wonder how well that paper survives being in water for a year? Since this tradition started in 1954 over a million dollars has been collected and donated.
