the pond
Along the banks of my pond, if I don't mow it some interesting things happen. Flowers bloom! The white ones are wild Asters and the yellow of course are buttercups. right up near the piling of the dock, the closest one, that is where you find one of the water snakes. Underneath the dock in the shade is where the young Bluegill fish stay and at the end of the dock, on top of the submerged pump is where many polliwogs rest. And that bench? That is where I rest! LOL One time I was sitting there and a Blue Heron flew right over my head, just a few feet up and landed on the far side of the pond. :) If I walk along the edge of the pond, frogs jump off the banks and into the water. Almost like synchronized ballet. Plop plop plop and sometimes they squeak! LOL If you know where to look and you are super quiet, you will see one of the Eastern Painted Turtles. I wish you all a wonderful day and I will catch up with everyone tonight I hope. Have the Grandbaby all day today! :D
