Mauzy General Store
Normally I wouldn't upload a photo like this but this one is special. Why? Because This is the store that had Anita running away in sheer terror! LOL In our wanderings last Sunday we passed it and when I pointed it out to Anita she just Had to turn around and go back to it. This is the store we stopped at a couple of years ago and Anita drove around back and went up to the back door. It was obviously a used entrance and there was no closed sign or anything so she tried the door and it opened! A second later this really loud security alarm went off and here comes Anita high-tailing it back to the car and off we went checking the rear view mirror for police cars! As long as I live I will never forget the look on her face!!! LOL There wasn't anyone around last Sunday either but despite someone putting the dare out there, Anita did Not check that door again! I found out online afterwards that this store has been closed for several years which is a shame because the whole little area looked really promising and the building to the right was called "the shops at Mauzy" and I understand was an antique/ junk sort of place but originally was a stage coach stop.
