Green Shield Bug
Or stink bug. I had no idea these stink bugs went through instar stages! That's the cool thing about photography... it gets you to looking closer at the world around you and you find out interesting things! I think this bug is maybe 4th or 5th instar. These are the guys that put an end to my squash, tomatoes and cucumbers for the year. I don't know whether to be grateful to the little pests or dislike them more than I already do!
