barn and silo

Judging by the fresh green growth on the top of the silo, I would say it hasn't been used for some time. We drive the country roads almost exclusively and we see a lot of barns, a lot of silos and a lot of farm type animals! Tuesday we started at the Virginia State Arboretum, stopped in the small village of Millwood where they had... you guessed it, a Mill! It was closed though so we moved on through the city of Winchester Virginia and from there into West Virginia to the city of Romney where you can ride a train that almost guarantees you will see eagles. We bypassed all that as it was now later in the afternoon and elected instead to drive through a pretty valley alongside a river and eventually circled around and back to Virginia and home! We had a blast and this time there was another person to join our crazy outing. We initiated her gently and didn't do any one lane gravel roads that barely cling to the side of a mountain! LOL This photo was taken "on the fly" as it were because Anita rarely stops for this sort of thing. I think I may be getting really good at this type of photography! ha ha ha.....
