What happened at Lake Orange
If you follow my photo stream, you know the story of the geese at Lake Orange (how I thought one of a pair had been killed and one was hanging out grieving but in reality he was guarding the Mrs. I checked in yesterday and the eggs had hatched. How Cute is this? However, there were only two babies. I talked with a fisherman who was a regular there and he said there were originally 10 but the bass were eating them! Bass??? I never heard of such a thing. He also said there was a hawk that hovered around waiting for the parents to leave a big enough opening for him to swoop in, but he never saw the hawk get one. Life is very hard for these little fluffies!
