Dancing Girl
Bought the 85mm f1.8 Canon yesterday. A bargain. Super fast USM lens. Shallow DoF. I know the picture isn't aligned, colors aren't vivid and is out of focus (@1.8 focussing is hard) but this was the first photo with the 85mm, and thought I want to share.
For now, the 85mm is a real keeper, a cheap portrait lens (on a 7D it is approx 140mm, a bit to long). On full-frame bodies it shows more vignetting then average, hence a crop-body does the job better as it uses the sweet-spot. Despite the longer range. Bokeh is creamy, DoF is really thin.
