Gravity train March 31 2012
On March 31 2012, I was given the privilege of being able to ride on the Ffestiniog railway`s gravity train as a specially-invited brakesman..
It was an unique experience for me having the sensation of riding down on these wagons from the summit at Tanygrisiau power house to Minffordd, something that my grandfather could well have done when used to work at Maenofferen quarry.
My sincere thanks goes to Peter Dennis & Iain Wilkinson for making it possible for me to undertake this unique experience.
