Peggy's Cove Lighthouse Visitors
The station was established in 1868, but this lighthouse (replacing the previous wooden one) was constructed in 1914 and was first lit in 1915. Constructed of steel and concrete, this octagonal pyramidal lighthouse stands 15 metres in height with a 22 metre focal height. Peggy's Cove Lighthouse is white with a red lantern containing a fixed red light (although the light has changed colours several times since initial lighting) that was automated in 1958.
