Although the exact origins of the creature known as “Graveyard” are a mystery, intelligence reports suggest that he was born from Dr. Mindbender performing experiments to upgrade the Decepticons’ Cybertronain technology with occult methods. The fusion of alien technology and paranormal energies resulted in the genesis of an entity which is neither completely technical nor completely mystical in nature. Graveyard’s main form appears to be comprised largely of Cybertronian Spark Energy (CSE), however he additionally demonstrates all the trademark characteristics of an ectoplasmic entity.
Graveyard has retreated from the Cobra/Decepticon union and found a home in the paranormal underworld. It is unclear whether he is an underling or a leader in this hierarchy, although I hypothesize that, whatever his role, Graveyard has plans much larger than merely world domination. This separation does not mean that Megatron/Cobra Commander cannot make use of Graveyard. He has oft been employed by them to perform missions specific to his skillsets. There appears to be something they have that he needs – otherwise it is unlikely he would act as a mercenary in this manner. I suspect having access to Dr. Mindbender’s notes on the experiment would allow me to deduce the connection. Whatever they hold over Graveyard’s head is undoubtedly the key to defeating him.
Weapons and Abilities:
Graveyard can, when he chooses, pass through solid matter, such as walls. Related to this, Graveyard has demonstrated some ability to inhabit and control the bodies of other Cybertronians. His vehicle form is capable of defying the laws of physics, driving up walls or inverted along the bottom of bridges.
Graveyard often goes undetected by normal surveillance equipment, however he emits a very specific Psychokenitc Energy reading easily detected by our PKE meters. We’re working with GI Joe to get a PKE assisted satellite in orbit which, along with numerous other benefits, should allow us to track Graveyard’s movements continuously.
The cannons housed in Graveyard’s arms fire dangerous ectoplasmic streams, similar in nature to the proton packs of the Spectral Ghostbusters (reference file: 0112GB). However, unlike the Spectral Ghostbusters, Graveyard’s weapons appear to have an unlimited charge.
In vehicle mode, Graveyard can offer traditional transport to the more corporeal of his allies – vampires, werewolves, etc. However in either mode his body is capable of “absorbing” and transporting an as-yet-undetermined number of the ectoplasmic. This makes facing Graveyard in battle a distressingly unpredictable experience. Just when you think you have the upper hand strategically, he can release any number of phantasms – from a pig snouted demon (reference file: 1365GB) to Gozer (reference file: 0001GB) – and turn the tide of battle. When in combat against him, it’s best to consider Graveyard a sort of terrifying clown car.
[File Addendum (Venkman)]:
This is assuming you don’t already find clown cars terrifying. And if you don’t, you should submit yourself to Agent Stantz for testing as you may already be a soulless product of the netherworld.
[File Addendum (Spengler)]:
Peter, this is a server for communicating top secret communications to the highest levels of the G.I. Joe/S.H.I.E.L.D. command structure. Please leave the jokes off of it.
[File Addendum (Zeddemore)]:
Pete’s got a point, Egon.
[File Addendum (Stantz)]:
Guys, are my old PC files on this server? Donatello promised to brief me on Dimension X if I show him how to speed the dough rising process of a pizza crust using a neutrino polarity inverter, and I can’t find the recipe.
