Boulder Hill 2.0 Gas Station Mode

Prepping instructions for my MASK vehicles made me naturally consider doing instructions for Boulder Hill. But my Boulder Hill MOC used facade pieces for the armor and used a a simple crosswalk baseplate, which really wasn't accurate to the old toy. If I was going to offer up instructions, I wanted to do better.

So this is Boulder Hill 2.0. It sits on the same 32x32 footprint as my original model, but it's packed with more detail, more functionality, and more accuracy to the original toy.

It's completely self-contained and transformable. No facade pieces. The hinged door in the mountain that lets the cannon fold away is more integrated. The whole thing sits on a much more toy accurate baseplate, with space to fuel up any six-stud wide (or less) cars and trucks. It still features a minifig compatible convenience store interior, complete with a cash register and stocked shelves. The back of the convenience store hides a command center with computer console and Mask energizer. In attack mode the M.A.S.K. team can stand around the energizer and have their Masks distributed via mechanical arms. The garage doors work in both modes and, just like the original toy, vehicles can drive straight through the set. All weaponry is fully transformable and each weapon rotates a full 360 degrees.

There are also a lot of improvements that are invisible in pics: it's sturdier, easier to carry around and place on a shelf, etc.

Instructions for this will go up soon. For now you can check out the rest of my instruction sets here: rebrickable.com/users/Flashback_Bricks/mocs/
