Adonis Blue

A freshly emerged male Adonis Blue photographed this morning at Rough Bank in Gloucestershire . I watched this little guy crawl out of the grass and this photo was taken soon after his wings had fully inflated. The background is very diffused because I shaded the butterfly whilst shooting into the brightly lit grass behind him whilst over exposing by two thirds.
