Commitment

The Heretic and Lieutenant Haggard clashed. The Heretic tried to disarm Haggard, but with no power to the suit he had no enhanced strength. The Heretic could have accessed an emergency reserve of strength, but that would mean fully synchronizing with the suit. The man inside, Arthur, still held to the idea that a better person could use the suit in the future. He continued to try fighting without the emergency reserve. Haggard, on the other hand, was more than motivated to kill this heretic. The slender spike of metal debris was buried deep between the heretic's ribs. The Heretic fell backward with his arms held wide. He could feel the breath of life leaving his body.
