Church of the Holy Trinity, Toronto, Ontario

for #ThrowbackThursday ~ The Cowboy Junkies recorded their album "The Trinity Session" at this church in November, 1987, located in the heart of Toronto. (I'd been looking for the CD for a while but couldn't find it.) Then 20 years later, 2007, the Cowboy Junkies returned and made "Trinity Revisited". One morning in April of '05 I stepped into this Church, was in awe and stayed for a while.

(While there I met some homeless men using the soup kitchen who wanted me to take their photo together, which I did. Then we got talking and it turned out many years before I used to teach one of the men's relatives...it's a small world. Anyway, I gave them some money, which left me short for the shopping I wanted to do but that didn't matter. I left feeling more light-hearted.)

P.S. As soon as I got to the Eaton's Centre, I went right to Chapters to buy a coffee and sitting right on top of a collection of books and music CD's was "The Trinity Session", on sale.

So now whenever I play it, I think of the Church of the Holy Trinity and the people who call it a Sanctuary.
