Farmers Society Hall

This building is known as Farmers Society Hall and is located in Pendleton, South Carolina. "In 1826, the Pendleton Farmers Hall was designed to be the new courthouse for the Pendleton District. When the South Carolina Legislature divided the district and created two new courthouse towns, the Pendleton Farmers Society purchased the building. Formed in 1815, notable members of the Pendleton society included Thomas PInckney, John C. Calhoun, and Thomas Green Clemson. Farmers Hall is the longest Farmers Society building in continuous use in the United States." From www.pendletondistrict.org.
