The historic Granbury (Hood County, Texas) square was the first courthouse square in Texas to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The courthouse was constructed in 1890-91 from a design by Waco, Texas architect, W. C. Dodson. It is a 3-story limestone structure and reflects the then popular French Second Empire architectural style.
