"I sold my bmx for a vw, I sold my vw for a Nikon"

It's an image I've had in my mind for a long time and for me represents the passing of time and passions in my life. I broke my leg pretty badly when I was 14 and never really rode a bmx since, probably a good thing as I was never any good at it. I took up mountain biking instead. I got my first 8v mk2 Golf GTI when I was 20 & fell in absolute love, I still drive a vw today just not a GTI (at the moment). I bought my first Nikon in 2011 and it genuinely changed my life for the better and five years on I'm pleased I've learnt it inside out, it's unleashed a creative ability I honestly didn't know I ever had.
and for Craig, the Car owner and rider in the shot? it's a badass piece of artwork to hang on his wall, Cheers Craig you nailed it for me 👍
the shot is a 4 shot composite consisting of, ambient light, upper sky ambient, light painting the car and a bare yongnuo yn 560ii fired at 1/4 power via yongnuo rf 602 with a 2500k white balance to make it blue. merged using layer masks in Photoshop and finished with greater than Gatsby Photoshop actions.
