Oriel decoration

Apart from the elaborate cable moulding around it, there are a number of other carvings in the area of the Oriel window. The inscription translates as "Trust in thy God, and in not men, my son do well, and let them say". I'm still thinking about that one!

Below the inscription is a carving of a woman's head, in typical 16th century head-dress, her tresses merging with the cable moulding below. To the left on the main wall, is the bust of a man, wearing a neck ruff and a pleated skullcap, who is said to be pulling the cable (moulding) across his chest. The figure to the right is supposed to be that of a kneeling man, holding one strand of the cable in each hand, but I can't make him out at all.
