Bridge View
Spanning the Straits of Mackinac where the waters of Lake Michigan meet Lake Huron, the Mackinac Bridge connects the upper and lower peninsulas of the U.S. state of Michigan. With a shoreline-to-shoreline length of five miles (8 km), the oft-called "Mighty Mac" bridge is the world's 20th-longest main span and the longest suspension bridge between anchorages in the Western Hemisphere. This shot was taken at Bridge View Park in St. Ignace on the upper peninsula side. It's a pretty little park with lots of flowers and yes, a bench for Bench Monday.
