A Window on Vintage Luxury

Here’s a shot from the summer archives for this week’s Fence Friday that shows two of the several charter boats that operate on Wisconsin’s Geneva Lake during the warmer months.

The closest boat, the Yacht Polaris, was built in 1898 for Otto Young, one of the original millionaires to live on the lake. Equipped with its original mahogany and brass as well as other vintage touches, the Polaris can handle up to 40 people for cocktails and receptions, with a maximum table seating capacity of 20.
