Burgh Castle Roman Fort series

As English Heritage, who maintain this site describe it:-

 

"The imposing stone walls, with added towers for catapults, of a Roman 3rd century 'Saxon Shore' fort."

 

The fourth wall collapsed into the marshes a long time ago.
