#100strangers/ 72 Korkos
Korkos (stranger 72).
On my walks along the canals of Rotterdam I also passed the playground at the Beukelsdijk where I played a lot as a child. We had an annual subscription and were able to enter and exit at any time. I could not resist to go inside. What has changed a lot! All swings are gone and there is no seesaw to see anymore. A bare affair; many trees have disappeared.
I got into conversation with the administrator Korkos. He is from Eritrea and I did not have the impression that he understood what I was saying. He helped a boy from the neighborhood to repair the tire of his bike and during our conversation another boy came who asked if he wanted to pump his football. Important for the neighborhood. He had little time for a photo. I took the picture in the entrance of his office where all kinds of toys are stored.
