At the top of the picture, can be seen the great diffuser, which stopped direct sunlight entering the arena, via the glass central portion of the main roof, and gave a more even spread of light. The glass section has now been replaced, and acoustical mushrooms are suspended from the ceiling, to cut out the echo.
