Tempting water

Though I was never in any peril of dropping dead from dehydration, I was thirsty enough to start fixating on water.

The question was whether I still had the energy to hike down to where I could get it and back, and whether I'd have any water left by the time I reached the trail again?

I decided to stay on the trail.
