A Magnificent World
I'm excited to have my work included in this month's Smashing Magazine desktop wallpaper blog post!! (And no, this is not an April Fools joke!) My wallpaper is the eighteenth listed in the blog post, so visit the link if you want to download the wallpaper in different resolutions (there's also a no-calendar version).
I chose autism as the subject of my wallpaper, since it's Autism Awareness Month, and since it's a topic I care about. There's no denying that autism creates a lot of struggles for those who are on the spectrum (those with autism, Asperger Syndrome, etc), but some people find that it adds a lot to their lives as well. Those on the spectrum get absorbed in things--whether circles or flying, animals or strip malls--and see magic and wonder in them that others don't. So I wanted to use a quote which, I feel, captures that side of autism. For more info on autism, check out Autism Speaks or Autism Society.
