I reckon this is a cool bike!
Lots for the purists to complain about.
But lots to like! I say focus on what's to like.
Like any bespoke bike, this is someone's vision. Not my vision, not your vision - someone else's vision. they have their reasons for everything being the way it is.
And I think it's great.
