1/8 Pontiac .

I’ve had this since about 1993 . Got it for Christmas , but even then it had an issue and that was the hood had a big dent in the edge. The hoods on these were often blighted with warpage due to their size .

I built in non the less, but it got knocked around a bit over the years until decided in 1997 to rebuild it after it sat in pieces. So I tried that but the polished brown plastic body didn’t like being painted. So I left again.

 

I tried for a second time about 2004 but on this occasion I cracked both pieces of glass. The hood cracked and bits of body broke as it got stored in a shed. Became home to massive spider in the shed.

 

It’s spent the past 7 years under shelf in my garage collecting dust.

 

However, hope is on the horizon. I’ve sourced a new hood , new wheels to replace the cracked and faded ones. New decals. The only thing I havent replace is the glass, but that’s not an issue as I’m learning to make my own using acetate plastic and heat.

 

As I already have a 79 TA and an 80 turbo in 1/8 Scale I want to turn this into an Esprit.
