Week 7 - Digital Divide
You can't see it because of the reflection/glare, but when I saw this picture, I thought of the divide between the access we have to technology (as students going to USC) compared to people in the neighborhood surrounding the university. While we're able to sit in our lounges and study, photoshopping and uploading pictures, the gap is growing and others may not even have access to the internet.
As we read last week, technology is primarily used in the classroom, and it is in coming home that we have the divide. As students, that line is blurred. Especially living on campus, we can take our technology home with us, as seen here, while just outside our window, others can't.
