Swamped - Bribie Island QLD
Taken on a sunrise shoot up at Bribie Island last weekend with Kim www.flickr.com/photos/54548647@N05/ and Kush www.flickr.com/photos/pikturesque/
It was a very enjoyable morning - thanks guys!
We didn't quite get to where we originally planned to on this beach, despite our best efforts, due to recent erosion and high tide. This piece of driftwood however made for an interesting foreground subject.
I don't have many short exposure (in the 1/2 to 1.5 sec range) seascapes capturing the retreating water in my collection as I sometimes struggle to get the shutter speed down that low in the right light at 50 iso and with a decent aperture setting.
This is an attempt at that style - which I am keen to try some more of - and I obviously have some work to do!! Still reasonably happy with the overall shot.
Taken with a Pentax 645Nii medium format film camera and fuji velvia 50 film
