Pienza Cafe Tuscany
Taken a while back during a photographic holiday through Italy and the Greek Islands.
I had spent the previous evening scoping out potential photographic opportunities in the beautiful small Tuscan town of Pienza and this small cafe caught my eye. I was struggling however to find a viewpoint incorporating a strong foreground element.
The next morning I arrived before sunrise expecting to have the town to myself however I was shocked to find the main street a hive of activity packed with trucks and potted plants. Apparently they were setting up for the annual garden festival that weekend!!
Expecting to also see my little cafe area also overrun with people I was extremely pleasantly surprised to find that not only was it very peaceful, these bouganvillea plants had already been placed to form my perfect foreground element!
Its amazing how things just come together sometimes.
Taken with a Pentax 645Nii medium format film camera with Fuji Velvia 50 film.
