Planet: Mimban
Location: Imperial Base, Underground
Time: Two and a half weeks after leaving Coruscant
________________________________________________
Mimban; one of the fewer planets that had first rebelled against the Galactic Empire in the beginning of its rise to power. It wasn't your typical to-go planets to travel to, but it wasn't as bad either. That is, if you are the kind of person who likes a muddy planet. Much like its twin planet, Jabiim, the planet was known to always be humid, escalating the planet into a swampy terrain to travel through. Just like Kamino as well, it mostly rains and thunderstorms nonstop. Not a great idea to be wearing your good tier of clothing if you plan on venturing through the mud and swamps.
However, much like Jisza and his company, they took the easy route; going straight underground and avoiding the nasty terrains.
After their tasks on Coruscant were completed, Jisza and the others took some relief time away from command and spent their time working on their new home, the Eventide. While the others dug into their own works, Jisza took that opportunity to dive straight back into researching on his own findings. He was still curious about the Qaz-class Star Destroyer, the new Grand Moff of the Imperial Remnant, and a few other topics that has been bugging him for quite some time now. But that would be short lived when he and his team would be contacted by Zach and the other leaders. Jisza was worried that this mission would take just as long like the rest, considering that he has been itching to discover more clues on his research.
What came out of Zach's mouth surprised him as he and the others stood around the hologram table, with the image of Zach staring before them.

"Mimban?" Jisza curiously asked out loud to nobody in particular. "Isn't that planet one of the Empire's few remaining fortresses left?"
"Yes, it is," Zach replied with a nod, his arms crossed in front of him. "But we had received word that some of the locals have started to rebel against the Empire, and they have already started to recruit more to their cells. We've contacted them a few days ago and came up with a strategic plan; with their help, we can send a large force of The Survivors for a frontal assault to bring down the fortress and their main base. But while our forces combined are leading the charge, we can send a small stealth team to travel underground where they can plant the charges in multiple key points of the base. Once they have finished, we can then detonate the charges and sink the fortress to the ground and send in the assault teams to take care of the rest."
"A good plan, but..." Garsheen started to reply, slowly looking towards the rest of the team.
"What I think Garsheen is trying to say is which team is being tasked to set the charges?" Clang finished, looking over to Garsheen as he nodded in agreement. When Zach didn't say anything and just simply looked at him, he just sighed knowing what it meant. "Let me guess...we're the demolition team?"
"I know it isn't the task you were hoping for," Zach said as he looked to all of Jisza's crew, most of them looking a bit disappointed with their new assignment. "But I do want you all to know this; you guys are one of our best teams that can easily go in and quietly get the job done without anyone noticing. I mean that!"
Jisza pondered to himself for a brief moment, looking to his crew before glancing back to Zach. "You wouldn't ask us to do this if you didn't think we could do it, correct?"
"Exactly," Zach replied with a firm nod. "Don't get me wrong, having you all on the front lines would definitely help us out. But having you guys detonating the fortress from underground will help out so much more. If you guys are successful, we'll be able to save a lot more lives this way than we would in a regular frontal assault."
Jisza knew he was right, and definitely agreed with the plan. But he also knew that the others would prefer to do things the old classic ways as well. It was going to be a bit difficult to convince them that though. However...
"He's right," Neina spoke, nodding with her arms crossed like Zach's were. This peaked everyone's attention as they all looked to her. "I know we would all prefer to go in guns blazing, but this is the best plan we have. True, this isn't exactly what we hoped for, but its the lives that matters more. We're the New Republic, and we are also the Survivors, and it is our duty to protect and save those who can't. What would be the point in all of this if we begin to forget that?"
Moments past as the entire bridge goes silent, no one saying a word as each of them began pondering over what Neina had said. Seconds past as both Garsheen and Clang slowly nodded their heads as well, slowly agreeing with what she has said. Jisza smiled at his crew before looking to Neina, a bigger smile plastered on his lips. It hasn't been long since she joined them, but her attitude and the spark of hope that she carried made her one of their greatest teammate yet. He was proud to call her his partner...

Time: Present
________________________________________________
That all happened over a day ago, and by now they all had already reached Mimban where they had begun working their way through the underground tunnels and straight to the enemies fortress. Each of them carried between three-to-four charges in their bags that would be enough to bring down the whole place down. The tunnels that they ventured through was pretty dark, with very little light to dim the dirt and metal walls around them as they made sure to not trip over one another nor drop the charges accidentally.
They had spent a good hour planting the explosives around the support systems that held the base above them, each area having one charge to set and primed. The battle above ground was getting intense, each side of the battle doing all they can to hold out against the other. Although they were confident enough to set the charges and bring down the fortress, it didn't help with the loud stomping and canons being fired from above. The old AT-DT Walkers were brutal, since they were used for artillery uses from behind the front lines. Back in the war, those things alone brought down hundreds and thousands of men and women, including starships that were just low enough for them to open fire.
The thoughts of Jisza's friends up above, who were fighting for their lives, plagued his. All of them were risking their lives while he and the others were crawling through the tunnels without much trouble. He really wished that he was up there and helping them, rather than doing the stealthy work.
His mind wandered a bit more before he felt a gentle hand placed upon his should, Neina looking at him from behind. "Hey, you alright Jisza?" She asked in concern.
He looked back to her before slowly nodding his head a little. "Yeah, I'm good. It's just...well..."
"You rather be up there with everyone else than be down here, right?"
Not surprised that she would pick that up so quickly, he nodded his more more. "I just can't stop thinking about the battle up there. Here we are, planting explosives without much resistance while everyone else is risking their lives above us. Every time one of those dank farrek walkers shoot another round, all I can imagine is tons of corpses scattered around. I feel like I'm...you know, helpless."
Neina looked at her general with a knowing look. She knew how he felt, considering that she has been through it all as well back in the Rebellion. Having such feelings can make things difficult. "I know what you mean. It makes me worried about them too. But just remember; like us, they're fighting for their lives so we can complete our own mission. And they know that our mission is vital if we are going to win this battle. I can even bet you that many of them are terrified right now, but yet, they keep pushing forward so that we can do this."
Jisza took in every word that Neina said to him, her words striking to his core. Although he didn't feel right about this, he knew that she was correct. Just like them, they're risking their lives so they can complete their own mission. The more he thought about it, the more he felt honored and proud to be serving with the men and women of The Survivors. In a way, he was beginning to feel like he was a real survivor.
A smile formed on his lips as he nodded and silently thanked her for her encouraging words, in which she returned back. As the group continued forward, they were able to finally reach the final spot to set the charges.
"Okay, this is it everyone," Jisza softly spoke to his team who were following him. "Let's set those charges and get--"
"Hey!" a muffled voice shouted to them down the dirt hall.
Jisza looked back to the room before them as he saw a lone, dirty Stormtrooper with a long but short black cloak staring down at them as he raised his E-11 Blaster. Just as the trooper began to shoot them in the crowded hall, Jisza quickly reached for his lightsaber and deflected the blaster shots away from them. He then used the Force to pull the soldier to them, shouting in surprise as he came flying towards him. When the soldier got close enough, he used his green blade and cut down the trooper as he collapsed to the ground dead.
Jisza breaths out the air that he didn't realize he was holding in before turning back to the others. "Looks like we're going to have company soon. Let's hurry up and plant those charges."
As fast as their feet could carry them, they all rushed into the small room that was lit with very little lighting, a small compact heater sat in the middle of the room that continued to help keep those confined within the dingy metal room warm. As Neina ran to the left corner and placing her bag on the floor, the sound of footsteps was heard coming from the other hallway, each step hitting against the man shaped floor steps. Jisza signaled Clang to cover Neina on the left and Garsheen to stay on guard for the hallway behind them, while he reactivated his lightsaber and readied himself as the footsteps got closer.
Not even a few seconds passed before another muddy Stormtrooper came forth as he just got to the entrance of the room, his blaster at the ready. He came to halt when he saw Jisza and the other rebels in the room as he prepared to open fire. However, the poor soldier didn't even get a chance to pull the trigger before Jisza sent him flying with the Force, sending him backwards and slamming him on one of the metal support beams. But as soon as he was sent flying back, more footsteps was heard again making their way towards them.
Clang readied his blaster and aimed it at the door where Jisza looked to Neina who was just getting the last charge ready. "Neina, how much longer?"
"Just about set," Neina groaned in some irritation as she continued setting the charges in the correct frequency. She knew if she didn't set the explosive correctly, then not only would the charge fail, but it would take them out with it. She didn't need to worry, however, as a small beep sound was heard after punching in the final codes. She sighed in relief. "Okay, we're ready!"
Not a moment too soon as more soldiers came rushing in, their blasters at gun point and ready to fire. Jisza and the others quickly pulled back as they hastily made their way back to where they came from, both Jisza and Neina covering their escape. Jisza continued to deflect the blaster shots back at them while Neina covered him with her own pistol, taking out a few soldiers as they made their mistake. They both realized that they would need to pick up the pace in order to bring down the fortress, so Jisza deactivated his lightsaber and used the Force to pushed back the incoming soldiers, sending many of them backwards causing them to block their way.
They continued to run down the halls until they finally came upon the entrance, a bit of sunlight shining through. Jisza called out to Garsheen, "Garsheen! Light her up!"
Not needing to be ask twice, Garsheen pulled out the trigger from his pocket and used his thumb to click the top button. When he did, the sounds of explosions was quickly heard coming from behind them as they reached the entrance, all of them jumping out and tumbling across the mud. The moment they landed on the mud, the explosions from underground engulfed the entrance completely as they all looked out to the front lines before them. Out where the Imperial fortress stood they could see the ground shaking from underneath it before the entire place came crumbling down in mud, smoke and dust. Even the soldiers who were protecting outside the place were quickly engulfed too, including the devastating AT-DTs that held the siege.
Even with the pouring rain that continued to pour down on them, the loud and yelling sounds of victory and battle cries were being heard all over the battlefield. Jisza and the others looked to one another with big grins on their faces, knowing full well that they had done it.
"Well, can't get any dirtier than that, can ya'?" Jisza joked a little, causing everyone around him to chuckle and laugh as they all continued to watch the fortress before them fall...

This is my entry in The Survivors' Galactic Battles Tournament #3: Mission on Mimban. This mission was to be about my Survivor character and his team to sneak underground and place detonators underneath an Imperial stronghold of some kind.
I will admit, this was a bit interesting to build, considering that I didn't have much to go for, considering that they never showed underground tunnels and all that on Mimban. Nonetheless, it was pretty fun to do still! As for the writing, I feel like it could be a bit better, but due to having little time to really complete it, this was what I could come up with. If by any chance I wanna fix it in the future, then I will let you all know. However, this was still awesome to build and trying out even more different techniques and skills.
If any of you are interesting in joining The Survivors, and perhaps you are looking for a Star Wars RPG, then click here to check it out and join!
Special thanks to THEE_BRICKOLOGIST for giving me an extra day to finish this build, as I am personally dealing with health issues IRL. Because of that, my own work has been slow and it has caused me to be slower on my own hobbies. Lastly, best of luck to MWBricks & Carculio on getting to the final round, cause I know that these two are much better at building than I am lol.
I hoep you all enjoyed this, and hope you all look forward to more of this and our own SW series soon. Have a fan-building-tastic day/night! See ya' in the next one!
