"Coruscant... why of all places did it have to be Coruscant? Who would be cray enough to... *sigh* you know what, I'm not gonna even go there...'

'If you were anyone, whether you are or were a veteran Rebel nor a soldier for the Survivors, the last place you would least expect to return to would be the Imperial home world, once home to the illusive and notorious Emperor himself, Palpatine. Rumors say that even the most feared man himself, Darth Vader, was from here before he made his castle on Mustafar years ago. It was once the pride and joy of the Galactic Empire, now it's nothing but a planet full of criminals and Imperial riots all over. Not your first pick of planets you want to visit either. So you can see why coming here is but a nightmare for us...'

'Anyways, many weeks after meeting with the Survivors and their leader, which went rather well I would say, they had contacted us for our first assignment. Apparently, from what they had gathered, there was something going down, some sort of uprising that is supposedly happening on "Imperial Day". Now, at first, I didn't see how that was such a bad thing, considering they are ruining such a stupid say such as that. However, when they told us all that they would be focusing on civilians alone, the idea was shot out of the air locks. It didn't help the matter that the New Republic forces were having a rough time making landfall on the planet, with no thanks to Palpatine's most loyal advisor, Mas Amedda, who's sovereignty reigned across the entire planet. His grip on the planet was pretty tight, and due to still having quite the defenses and support of some loyalists, it just made things a bit harder.'

'But that wasn't enough for the Survivors to give up on this mission. Honestly, it was a major opportunity for them. And I felt the same way, fi I were being honest with myself.'

'One of them, named Nightfall, a one-eyed older man, had came up with a full proof plan on how to get down there. And, not surprising, that task was left to me, my team, and another group who was lead by a female Pantorian, Vala Cho. Each of us were task to commanding two starships that would be transporting multiple squads to the planet undetected. Vala and her team were given the command of the Imperial Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvette Mynock, as we were assigned to the modified Dreadnought-class Heavy cruiser, Eventide. Now I will admit, not the most beautiful ships you would lay your eyes on, but she has the power and armor where it counts. If I remember correctly, these things were very bulky, and were excellent for defending Star Destroyers. The Rebellion had a couple of these back in the day, and I can definitely say that they live up to their name.'

'A couple days past by 'til we got to Coruscant. Both the Mynock and the Eventide made their way towards the planet, which was being blockaded by a large amount of Imperial ships. As Clang and Garsheen piloted the Eventide, I looked upon the large Imperial blockade in front of us; two Acclamator II-class Assault ships, Raider II-class corvettes, original Dreadnought-class Heavy cruisers and one Interdictor-class cruiser, all acting as support ships for the main two Imperial II-class Star Destroyers. However, there was one Imperial ship I didn't recognize. It looked like a Star Destroyer, except it wasn't. What was different about it was that there wasn't any hangar bays on the sides, and it was more heavily armored than any destroyer I've seen. I asked both my men and Vala's team, who were passing by the Interdictor cruiser in the Mynock, if they knew what ship that was. But no one recognized it before, let alone seen anything like it.'

'My curiosity got the best of me that I didn't realize that we were being hailed by the large destroyer. The officer asked us why we were here and what our cargo was, as usual protocols for them were, before we lied to them and sent them the ISB codes that the Survivors were able to retrieve. As we waited for an answer, I just kept staring at the massive ship that we were passing by. I could see several turbolaser batteries lined up across the top, with a few heavy ion cannons armed to the teeth on the sides. I would hate to face one of those things in a space battle, let alone be at the receiving end of one of its guns. The officer on the other end strangely allowed us to proceed on route, which caused us to be a bit more cautious. Even the Mynock and her crew were allowed to proceed through.'

'But just before I was about to head to the back of the ship and tell the others about our arrival, the officer's last words through the comms gave me a shiver down my spine, as I froze in place when he said;"

Clang: Are we cleared to proceed, command?

A small brief of total silence continued on as they nervously waited for a reply, their hands on the controls gripping a bit tighter as they prepared themselves for whatever could happen. The comms chimed back to life as the Imperial officer replied back, his tone a tad bit off.

Imperial Officer: Well, well! Welcome back home, Eventide. Glad to see that they were able to get you all home this way. I'll send the all clear to the docks below. Safe travels. The Malevolence out.

"That's when I knew. The Malevolence...the prototype Star Destroyer that carried more guns than the destroyers themselves. And if I remember correctly, it was the first test before the Empire used it in a much larger scale...the once devastating superweapon; the Death Star. That must have been the reason why the New Republic forces weren't able to break through! My stomach immediately began to turn, as the feeling of uneasiness overpowered my own self confidence...'

'I had a very bad feeling about all this..."

And here it is, my entry to the second tournament, "Riots on Coruscant"! This round I was up against the masterful builder MSIndustries. Although I know that i don't come close to his amazing building skills, it was a great pleasure nonetheless.

This was very fun to do, let alone trying to create a scene of the inside interior of a ship with other ships outside the cockpit. I will admit, I had one through three different styles of the interior, and I am happy that I stuck to this one. And hopefully, you all enjoyed it as well.

As for the Star Destroyer that is in the background, I had somehow stumbled across it on the internet in my research. The actual canon name for this ship is called the Qaz-class Star Destroyer, a prototype ship that was mentioned in the Rogue One movie and in the canon books. I never knew about this ship, nor was there any indication as to its whereabouts in the canon timeline. Because of this, it fitted into the story quite nicely. If you have a chance, I highly suggest looking it up and reading about it. I is very interesting as to what it was used for.

Hope you all enjoyed this, and as always, thank you all for your support for these kinds of series. Not just myself, but my entire team, all enjoy making this kind of content for you all to enjoy, so thanks for giving us inspiration. Hope you all have a fan-tucking-tastic day/night! See ya in the next one!
