Hitching a ride, Parrsboro, Nova Scotia
Actually, the title is inaccurate. This Shag (Cormorant?), isn't riding anywhere because the duck is anchored. Taken from the Two Islands Road bridge back in 2003, the duck was sharing the waters of the Parrsboro Aboiteau with its companion, a Sea Serpent made of tractor tires painted green. I have a pic of the serpent buried somewhere but nave yet to locate it. Both creatures were a familiar sight to visitors stopping in Parrsboro but have gone missing over the years.
Taken with a Nikon F3HP, Vivitar Series-i 90-180mm lens, on Kodachrome film.
