The grasses are long and dry after a very dry summer, this area in NZ is drought stricken along with many others, the summer of 2015 has been tough for all who work the land.
Weathered limestone outcrops found in the Weka Pass between the northern end of the Canterbury Plains and the Amuri district. Their shapes sometimes suggest names like Frog Rock and Seal Rock.
