Heanor Haulage, originally of Langley Mill on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border (and since 2010 based in Ilkeston) is a family (Searson) business, which specialises in heavy haulage of abnormal loads, supporting heavy engineering companies, particularly in the railway industry. In the 1970s, it found available tractors, notably the Scammell Contractor, were not powerful and strong enough for its requirements. Thus, the Heanor Haulage Tractor was born, as a home made beefed up version of the Scammell. A Detroit diesel V12 provided the power, and other modifications included an extra axle and sleeper cab. I believe a few of them were built, and they are represented here by ONN686P, which I was fortunate to catch up with at Leicester Forest East Motorway Service Area on the M1 in July 1977.
